Interview Days
Leadership Assessment Center (LAC)
*See our apply page for more information on how to be invited for an interview.
*Once invited, students can attend any interview that is convenient.
Interview days (or Leadership Assessment Centers--LAC's) are all days events. Specific times will be emailed to you once you are confirmed to attend, but plan on being with us from around 9am to around 5pm.
Saturday November 23: University of Oregon, Straub Hall rooms 251 & 252. Check in between 9:30 and 9:45.
Saturday January 11 - University of Oregon, Straub Hall rooms 245 & 251
What can I expect at the interview day?
This will be an interview like you have never had before! Just so you are prepared, you will be participating in a group interview that includes questions related to camp activities and working with children. You will also be assessed on your ability to teach and lead a song and a game to a group, so feel free to come with one in mind.
Dress is professional, but I would not suggest wearing a dress because you will be moving around quite a bit and being active.
After the interview portion of the day (most of the morning), the afternoon will be spent getting a start on paperwork (which there is a lot of). In order to help with this process, it is very important that you know your social security number. It would be a great idea for you to begin collecting a copy of your passport and a copy of your birth certificate as well. Although you will not necessarily need these at the interview, you will be needing them to fill out paperwork very soon.
